1. Data controller

This policy applies to the mobile application Cheap Petrol Stations ("the App") available on Google Play.

2. Data we process

We do not collect any usage analytics data. The app does not include Google Firebase Analytics data collection in any way, so no usage profile, behavioral data, or user statistics are generated.

The only technical data processed is what is strictly necessary for the app to function:

3. Location

The app requests location permission to show you the nearest gas stations on a map (Google Maps SDK). Your position is only used at the moment of the query, and is never sent to or stored on any server. You can revoke the permission at any time from your device settings or from within the App itself.

To calculate your position and display the map, Google Play Services and the Google Maps SDK communicate technically with Google's servers, under Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We do not receive or store that information.

Purpose: showing you the gas stations near your position on the map.
Legal basis: your consent, granted through Android's location permission (GDPR art. 6.1.a).

4. Advertising

The app displays ads through Google AdMob. The first time you open the app, you are shown a consent form (managed by Google's User Messaging Platform, UMP), applicable to users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, where you choose whether to allow personalized advertising.

If you do not consent, you are shown non-personalized ads (based on the app's context, not your profile).
If you consent, Google and its advertising partners may use your advertising identifier and other device data to show you ads more relevant to your interests.

You can change your decision at any time from [Settings → Privacy policy, inside the app], or directly from your Google account's ad settings.

For this processing activity, Google acts as an independent controller — Google decides how that data is used for advertising, under its own terms and privacy policy (policies.google.com/technologies/ads).

Purpose: funding the development and maintenance of the app through advertising.
Legal basis: your consent, managed through the UMP form (GDPR art. 6.1.a).

5. International transfers

Google may process the data above on servers located outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. These transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which Google has in place as part of its data processing terms (Google Data Processing Terms).

6. Retention period

Your location is never stored: it is used only at the moment of the query and discarded immediately afterward.
The FCM token is kept for as long as you have the app installed and is automatically deleted when you uninstall it.
Advertising data is retained according to Google's own retention policy, since Google acts as an independent controller for this processing activity.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your data, as well as to data portability and to withdraw your consent at any time (GDPR art. 15-22). In practice, since we do not collect any data linked to your identity (name, email, or other personal identifier), we cannot connect a message from you to a specific token or device. Because of this:

Deletion of the FCM token: happens automatically when you uninstall the app.
Advertising consent: withdrawn from within the app (privacy settings) or directly at myadcenter.google.com, since Google is an independent controller for that data.
Access, rectification, restriction, objection, and portability: since we do not maintain any identifiable record of users, there is no profile or history to meaningfully exercise these rights against.

You have the right to file a complaint with the data protection authority in your country of residence.

8. Changes

This policy may be updated. The current version will always be published at this URL.
